It was last owned by the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority, which decided to demolish it to make way for the Las Vegas Global Business District. The 'Riviera' hotel casino is located on the southeast cornerof Riviera Blvd. and Las Vegas Blvd. opposite Circus Circus.
General - The Riviera is long establishedon the Strip. It has 2,100 rooms including 158 suites and is convenientlylocated on the Strip just a short distance from the Convention Center.
There is a pool, wedding chapel, shopping arcade, health club and 2lighted tennis courts as well as 105,000 square feet of meeting and banquetspace. Highlighting the meeting areas are the 45,000 square food GrandBallroom and the penthouse 'Top of the Riv' ballroom with views of theLas Vegas skyline. A ten minute walk from the Las Vegas Convention Center.The Riviera has 4 showrooms, more than any other hotel in Las Vegas andincludes a varied mix of entertainment.
The rooms are in four towers: The Monaco, The Monte Carlo, The Mediterranean,The San Remo.
Monaco Tower is 24 stories highand has a selection of larger comfortable rooms featuring 942 deluxe guestrooms. There are 42 Petite Suites which include an alcove study and wetbar and there are two story Penthouse Suites which feature jacuzzi, entertainmentcenters and panoramic view of Las Vegas. The Monaco Tower is adjacent tothe Riviera's Convention Center.
Monte Carlo Tower is 15 storieshigh and has 229 deluxe rooms and 14 Petite Suites and two floors of PenthouseSuites.
Mediterranean Tower is 11 storieshigh and has 502 deluxe rooms, 21 suites, 18 petite suites and one honeymoonsuite. The Mediterranean Tower is located directly above the Riviera'scasino.
San Remo Tower is pool-side andhas 244 deluxe rooms and 6 suites. The garden style suites include a diningarea and patio with access to the pool.

There is a large 20,000 gallon tankwith mermaids and dancing water. The show has energetic dance numbers andspecialty acts. Splash is updated and changed from the original

that opened in 1985. Make your reservations early for the best seats. TheVIP tickets are for the first five rows of the front center section, theaterstyle seating with vibrating bass speakers and laser guns but be preparedto get wet. The Splash Showroom seats 1,000. This is an adult topless show.'An Evening At La Cage' - An eveningof female impersonators. If you are ready for the outrageous then you willprobably enjoy this show. Some of the song and dance numbers are very good.The Mardi Gras Pavilion capacity is 600. Indefinite, nightly, adults only,dark Tuesday.
'Crazy Girls' - Sexy chorus linewith several topless song and dance numbers. Well attended by the guysand it is a pretty good show. The Showroom capacity is 400. Indefinitely,two shows nightly, dark Thursday.
Riviera Comedy Club - original comedy showcasefeaturing top comedians nightly at the Mardi Gras Entertainment Complex.Showroom capacity is 350.
Le Bistro Theater - Intimate shows withtop entertainment.
Gaming - There is a large casino with over100,000 square feet of casino space which claims to have the most generousslots in town. No way to verify that claim so see what you think.
